3000 Hits and Tidbits!

Did anyone else realize I've had over 300o hits? Ok, maybe only 200o in actuality. Maybe, just possibly, 1000 of them are my own hits! *embarrassed* Has anyone ever clicked on that map over on my sidebar and seen all the different countries some of those hits come from? Very interesting, I'd say!

In other news:

My mother joined Facebook! Do you believe it? Nope, me either! Up until now she sure enjoyed hearing all the "gossip" from me but now she'll get to find it out for herself!

10 more days till school starts! Hallelujah!

DJB just told me he was going outside to plant his peach seed so we could grow some vegetables! Huh? He asked for some "soil" to plant it in. What's wrong with "dirt"? He wondered if it would grow into a bush or a tree? Then he said he's going to need a garbage bag because he'll have to climb the peach tree to pick the peaches and put them in the garbage bag! Now he said, "I'm going to get to work. My peach seed is ready for planting!" (coming out of the bathroom, drying his peach pit off with his shirt!) He just now asked me for some worms! I said, "why you need worms?" He said, "worms grow the plant!" Duh! This boy is quite the character!

The guinea pig, Oreo, got a bath today and a clean cage and a nail trim. That's big news, huh? It is since I can't remember the last time we did all those things! Yuck! For some strange reason this creature keeps living!

Toni's boyfriend Buster is coming over tonight. They have both been exhibiting a strange behavior towards objects like pillows which makes the kids laugh hysterically! It's funny to watch the kids since they have no clue! Toni has no girl parts but Buster is FULLY intact! He's going to be "studded out" soon and needs a little practice!

I gave LOB and DJB haircuts today trying to use the techniques I observed when I took them for their first professional cuts a couple weeks ago. They turned out ok, I thought. I was happy with the fade part in the back and sides. LOB however cried when he felt the top of his head! Apparently I cut it just a tad bit too short. Actually it was much longer than I normally cut it but he wasn't too happy with me! Oh well, it's just hair!

Well, that's all for the exciting tidbits around our house! Have a great weekend!

Do You Want to Know How They Found Me?

I thought so.

I always get a kick out of reading on Google Analytics about how people found my blog. So I am going to humor myself and comment on just a few of the "keywords" that people actually typed in Google and came across me! Ha!

3 boys brewery owner
Yep, that's me! What can I do for you? Well, actually, I'm not the owner of the actual brewery in New Zealand. I'm still waiting for them to contact me for a little advertising banner on my blog page. I really do get quite a few hits looking for them, not me!

3 boys band my wife
Um, no band here...I don't think you'd want me in your band. I'm not very musically inclined. Thanks for checking though.

boys haircuts
Yes, boys do need haircuts. Do you like my kid's haircuts or what?

big butt washing
Well I'm not sure how I can help you. I will say be sure to use plenty of soap when you wash that big butt!

baby and dog butt
Please, don't let your baby touch your dog's butt. It's just not clean, ya know!

biggest boy’s butt
Well none of my boys have a big butt so you better keep on looking somewhere else for the biggest boy's butt!

boys 7th birthday
Were you checking my blog for some birthday ideas? Oh, I'm flattered!

breweries on youtube
Well, I've never actually video taped GOB brewering beer. But if you need a lesson I'm sure I could post something?!?

playing in the rain
Ya, we like to do that around here too. If it's not lightening, that is. I'm pretty sure lightening and playing in the rain is not advisable!

in other pet related
In other pet related....what? Something other than dog butt related or what? I need a little more info...

fresh & easy
Ah, yep, we like it fresh and easy around here!

The following are all the keyword combinations related to washing a dog's butt, I guess! I just can't comment on all of them. You know, I do have other things to do around here besides blogging! You people are weird. I say just let your dog wash his/her own butt for Pete's sake! Nasty! I should say these are just a few, believe it or not!

how to clean a dog’s butt
dog butt clean
dog butts
dog with the biggest butt pictures

cleaning dogs butt
happy butts wash

wash baby butt
why is dog chewing butt

buzzed hair in blog title:boys
How nice of you to remember my blog by my boy's adorable buzz cuts! Thanks!

chicken pops
Yep, DVB had a case of those a couple months back.

cute tweens
Um, none of those around here yet. I've never even typed the word tween, I don't think!

dirty feet sleeping
Oh, you should never sleep with dirty feet! We certainly don't around here! 3 boys never have dirty feet! Nope!

early birthday comments for boys
How about, "Happy Early Birthday!" ? That's pretty simple, huh?

freckle feet
We have a freckly face around here but no freckle feet!

homemade bike tricks
I have seen a bunch of homemade bike tricks around our house. Thankfully none of them have taken us to the ER!

lizard in our house
Lizards are not welcome in our house. I'm sorry there's one in yours. But don't worry, it won't be long before it keels over. Just sniff around, you'll find it! Or better yet, get a cat!

lizards 4 sale
Why didn't I think of that? We could have sold all those lizards the boys have caught over the summer! Darn!

Marley-like
Oh no! Is your dog Marley-like too? I'm sorry! I can definitely empathize with you! What has your dog chewed up?

no more teachers no more books song
Fortunately we'll only be singing that song around here for less than 2 more weeks! Is there a song out there about school starting up again? Oh ya, I'm not musically inclined...

patent brewery
I wouldn't mind having a patent on a brewery some day. I have to win the lottery first!

real babysitter
Yes, thanks for checking. We finally found a real teenage babysitter and a real daycare provider! Whew! That's hard work!

teachers party
Teachers should definitely have parties! If only they could enjoy a few alcoholic beverages at their parties! They sure get the shaft, it's just not fair!

So there you have it! Entertainment at it's finest! Kinda rednecky, huh? I'll wait a few more months before I bore you with all the jabber about dog butts and breweries again! It's funny though, right? I thought so!

Leashes: They Aren't Just for Dogs!

As we were discussing the dangers of small children visiting the Grand Canyon the other day, my dad said he saw a little boy up there with a monkey backpack/leash on. Then my mom said she thought DVB would be a good candidate for one of those.

Duh?

Why didn't I think of that? We always struggle with keeping him near us in a restaurant or at store when he's not in his stroller. I can think of many occasions we could have really used it! We never needed one with LOB or DJB. They usually always cooperated when we were out and about. But we all know DJB is a totally different animal. An animal who needs a leash!

So off to Tarjay we go...and lo and behold, they had a puppy one! One of the words DVB says constantly is "puppy." It was only $11.99! I almost got 2, but I thought we better make sure he doesn't mind a puppy on his back! Ha!

Ha! I love it! He can't get more than 4 ft away!

"Puppy puppy puppy!"

"C'mon DVB, let's go for a walk!"

I think he likes his leash! So I guess we'll pick up another one next time we're at Tarjay and keep it in GOB's truck! The actual leash part looks like the puppy's tail...too cute!

The girls at work warned me that people might look at us funny or give us dirty looks for having our kid on a leash. They all said they've used them on their kids and totally agreed that the people who flash the dirty looks don't know what it's like to have a wild child!

So if you see me on the street you better flash me a smile and tell me I'm a smart mom for keeping my wild child under control! Ha!

Pretty Quiet Weekend Around Here...

It's been a pretty quiet is weekend around here this weekend.

Unlike last weekend when this was the scene. Yes, that is our neighbor, S! And yes, she's hiding behind our couch. Why? She was hiding from kids in a game of neighborhood hide and seek, of course! If I can remember correctly, they didn't find her! Ha! We had such a good time just bs-ing that at 3 am we thought we really should call it a night! That doesn't happen very often around here! We're gettin' too old!

GOB is FINALLY making some progress on the countertop project or as I call it "The Project of the Year!" (the kitchen countertop starting falling apart in May-just so you have a reference point) If you personally know GOB, you know that every project whether big or small, electronic related or wood related, takes him a long time to plan. Every detail must be thoroughly planned and supplies accounted for before he can even think to start for another week or 2! I'm not giving him crap, it just takes L.O.N.G.E.R. to do things his way! Hee hee! I know I'm lucky to have such a handy man!

He's made a semi-air conditioned, plastic walled workshop in the garage. He really wanted to do the project inside but.... um ya, I nixed that idea!

Here he is displaying one of the three parts to the upstairs desk countertop. He decided he needed some practice before attacking the kitchen countertops. The existing top up stairs was also black formica. If you look really close you'll see the fancy edge. That was a couple weeks worth of research alone! What would we do without the internet these days? I can't even imagine how many hours he's spent reading and rereading...

This is one of the molds for the third part which is ready for the concrete.

I will say that I can see my kitchen looking normal again in oh, about 2 months! Whew! Then what will the next project be?

LOB and DVB decided to cool off by jumping on the trampoline with a sprinkler!

DJB's been building Lego creations and who knows what else. I'll probably find some more alien pee tomorrow!
I worked a couple hours yesterday and today. So other than those exciting things, we're just trying to stay cool inside being lazy!

The Last Big Adventure of Summerfest!

At the beginning of Summerfest, Grammy asked the boys were they would like to go for a road trip this summer. At first the boys picked Legoland in San Diego, California. Ok, sounds good. Let's all go! Then a couple weeks later, they decided to go to The Grand Canyon. Huh? My kids passed up Legoland for The Grand Canyon? Whatev! You guys can go and I'll pick them up. Once you've seen The Grand Canyon, you've seen The Grand Canyon! You'll regret it some day boys but now you can say you've seen The Grand Canyon.

So they loaded up the Hilton on Wheels RV, and parked it in Williams, AZ. They took the Grand Canyon Railway to the canyon which I believe was a couple hour train ride each way. Then they spent a few hours at the canyon toodling around feeding squirrels illegally and touring museums.

Looks like they got robbed while on the train...

LOB's comment of the trip was, "It was big fun."

DJB's comment of the trip was, "It was fun because of the squirrels."

Yep, it looks the same since the last time I saw it, oh about 10 years ago.

This look like Grammy and Grandpa got suckered into a souvenir!

Yah, this view looks the same too!

Anyway, GOB, DVB, and I are very thankful for our 7 week vacation from LOB and DJB. Thanks, Mom and Dad for the honeymoon (your words, not mine!) Ha! Boys, it's boot camp at home in 1.5 days! Back to picking up dog poop and taking out the trash! Hee hee!

Summerfest Part 2 is Coming to a Close...

Summerfest Part 2 is quickly coming to a close. So so sad! I only have 2 more days of semi quiet time left! DVB, you better enjoy these last 2 days because the competition is returning soon!
The following are some of the latest pictures from LOB and DJB's 7 week vacation with Grammy and Grandpa. I can't believe they made it 7 weeks with only a 1 week break in between! Mom says our honeymoon is over. Now Grammy and Grandpa can get back to their every-day-honeymoon!
Apparently, LOB is now a professional archer too. Remember the beer can shoot out with the bb gun?
Wow! LOB, you have learned some pretty cool things this summer!
I'm not quite sure who this child is hiding under there. If I had to guess, I'd say it's DJB...
This looks like an invention of some sort. Maybe a rock catapult???

Here's Bug Boy DJB and a walking stick. What would a boy be without his love for bugs? Yuck!

Child labor. I bet they were a big help when it came to painting the shed! I know better!

LOB taking a little siesta. It's a rough life hanging out with your Grammy and Grandpa! I guess the hammock was found when cleaning out the storage shed.

Feather collectors. Just before Summerfest Part 2, DJB just knew he was going to come across some more feathers. He was worried about what he was going to store them in. Also, he's sure he's going to find more feathers at The Grand Canyon. He has no clue what the Grand Canyon is but he's going to search for feathers!

Remember Mr. Bear, the garbage scrounger? He must have been desperate for food! He bent the Shepard's hook to get to the birdseed!

LOB playing in the rain! These AZ kids think it's SO cool to be able to play in the rain. You know, it's not often that we get it! We have gotten a quite a bit of rain (maybe 1.5 inch but that's a lot for us) the last 2 days~we LOVE it! It looks like there's more in our forcast all week! Yahooooo!
We'll be back to normal around here in about 3 days. Then, I probably won't have much blog material! humpf!
Little Brother, are you happy now that I finally wrote a blog post? Sheesh! I'm busy dude-lay off!

What Does the School Provide These Days?

Last year, we got home from our month long vacation the day before school started. Therefore I had to buy all LOB's school supplies the day before school started. I remember WM being sold out of many of the things that were requested and having to go to multiple stores to try to pull together some supplies. But why would I expect anything else?

So for this school year, I've already started collecting the requested items. I have a few things left but here are pictures of the majority. I swear the school doesn't supply anything but a teacher these days.

Here's DJB's Kindergarten pile. Notice an abundance of glue sticks? Why yes, there happen to be 24 glue sticks! WTF? No, I did not go overboard. 24 glue sticks were on the list. So let's do some math: 25 kids X 24 glue sticks each=600 glue sticks! Tell me where the teacher is going to store 600 glue sticks? The only other thing I question is the copy machine paper. C'mon! I'm surprised toilet paper wasn't on the list!
His list was divided into 2 parts: "Helpful Kindergarten Supply List" and "Teacher Wish List." I hate to say this but before I buy some of the "wish list" items, I want to see who his teacher is! *gasp* I know, I know. How selfish of me! I learned my lesson in LOB's first year. His teacher was HORRIBLE and I supplied every.single.thing. on the list and I really feel like she didn't deserve it! I know the supplies are for my kid and will make his K year better but still...

Here's LOB's pile. He only needs 6 glue sticks! Now that's more like it! I didn't oblige exactly to the list. For example, his 2nd grade class needs 4 packages of pencil top erasers? Well I can tell you that my kid simply does not make that many mistakes so I'll gladly supply 2 packages of pencil top erasers instead! His list also specifically said, 2 green wide ruled spiraled notebooks, as well as 2 red notebooks, 2 yellow paper folders, 2 red paper folders. OK, that's easy-I do like specifics! The only stuff left on his list is 2 manila folders and 2 hanging file folders. My beef with this that they can't be purchased individually. Maybe I'll have to scrounge through our filing cabinets so I don't have to buy 20 of each in which I'll never use!

So I think I'll spend about $75-$100 by the time I'm finished. I guess that's not break-the-bank horrible. I'm watching the back-to-school sales and I did get a couple great deals at Staples. Can't beat 1 cent copy machine reams (after rebate) and 12 pk pencils! WM had Crayola crayons for 20 cents per box as well as Crayola markers for $1 and 2 pks of glue stick for 25 cents! The girl at the check out asked if I was a teacher. I bet she's sorry she asked now. I went off on the "supply list" and I even showed it to her! Hee hee!
Thank goodness I have boys and don't have to worry about buying new "school clothes" too. They both picked out a new pair of tennis shoes a couple weeks ago and they can pick out a new back pack and we'll be set. They don't need clothes and thankfully don't care about them....yet! I know my time will come!
But really, besides a teacher, what does the school supply? Don't they know we're in a recession and these lists are a little on the rediculous side? How about cutting back on a few glue sticks! Just sayin'....

Chew Fest!

I have writer's block. That is, if I were a writer!

The only thing newsworthy just pisses me off when I think about it. Maybe I should write about it as a little therapy for myself!

So the dog had a chew-fest last week. Here's the damage:

1. My glasses. I should have taken a picture so you could wallow with me. She chewed both temples and scratched the lenses. Thankfully, I got the fancy scratch coat on the lenses and they are still under warranty so those are a no-cost replacement. However, the temples are in the shop for a $80 repair/replacement!

2. The lid to the stainless steal garbage can that I loved! (we've tried many-trust me). In the past couple weeks she's figured out how to flip the lid off with her nose. No easy feat if you ask me, it's kinda a big lid. The last time she did it, it hit the kitchen floor just right and snapped a piece of plastic. It's not fixable even by my handy man who can fix anything! Replacement garbage can at least $40! Costco here we come for stainless steel garbage about number 5!

3. The vacuum cleaner crevice attachment to my Dyson Animal! Replacement part: $30!

4. Countless stuffed animals and a slipper. Replacement cost: Thankfully $0! We have too many to begin with.

Why, when she has millions of bones and her own toys, must she chew up everything else?

Which one of you told me this would end when she turned 2? Cause it's not!

I should have just given her 150 one dollar bills to chew up and eat! It should would have saved me some hassle! grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Ok, I'm better now. Now lets see what the next chew-of-choice will be!

Now Onto the Next 100!

This is a post that's more for me than for you.

Remember I mentioned in My 100 Things that DVB's baby book is blank? *gasp* I'm not so proud of that...so here on my blog I'm going to document all the words The Wild Man is saying and then I'll be covered, right? I thought so!

DVB you are 19 months old right now and have all of a sudden started to say some words for which we are very grateful because up until now, all you do is yell, holler, and grunt! (and it drives Grandpa CRAZY!)

Papa-I can't believe you said Papa before you said Momma! boo hoo!

Noni-aka Toni, The Dog

Dow- aka Down-One of your 1st words

Ow-It's funny you relate pain to the word "ow" but you really do. Ow was one of your 1st words too

Hi-When I came in the door from work the other day I said "hi" to you and you did the same!

Pee pee-when your diaper gets changed you grab your boy parts and say pee pee! Nice!

No-what 19 month old can't say this word?

Coowd-aka cold

hot-can't mess that one up too bad

One, Two000, Eeeee-When you go down your slide or play catch with a ball you count! 1,2,3! You're so smart, I tell ya!

Whoa-when you are in your daredevil mode, like when standing on top of your horse jumping up and down you say, whoa!

Ni Ni-aka Night Night. Your Ni Ni routine is to say Ni Ni, blow kisses and wave. Too cute!

cawcaw-aka cracker

Nana-aka apple not sure why it's not banana

puppy-every animal is a puppy to you. When we drive by the cows down the road or when you see horses or birds, you say puppy!

teet-aka treat. You love to give noni teets. The other day you fed her a whole box of teets!

Ka-aka car. Every moving vehicle is a ka.

teetsy-aka thank you. I remember your brothers saying thank you the same way. weird!

aye-aka eye. You poke your finger right into it!

noooo-aka nose. You sick your finger right up it!

baw-aka ball

And in other notables:

*You love to play and pick on Toni. You poke her in the eye, pull on her ears, and tug on her tail but she could care less-she is very gentle with you.

*You love to turn the tv off! It drives us crazy! That big button on the tv just calls your name!

*When your brothers play the Wii, you pick up a remote and act like you are playing too!

*You won't stop opening the dishwasher! We've tried to lock it with various locks but none work!

*When you hear music, you do a cute little gig and butt wiggle!

*You like to take ice out of the freezer and feed them to Toni. You even shut the door when asked.

*You love to play outside. If we say "outside," you go find your shoes, usually a matching pair I might add, and holler until you actually get outside!

*You are almost impossible to take out to a restaurant! If we dare, we only go to places that are really loud to begin with!

*Your facial expressions are hilarious!

*You are just a wild man unlike either of your brothers ever were!

*You love attention and are not shy in the least bit with strangers. You just suck up all their comments.

*You like to climb...anything. The couch, the kitchen table, the counter top, the dog kennel, the end table, the coffee table. Anywhere you can get up to a higher level, the better. You think! I always say that you will be the boy we take to the ER for the first time! It's amazing we haven't been there yet!

*As far as food, you will eat just about anything. A new favorite is hummus. You must have eaten a cup of it the other day! You kept dipping your cracker and licking off the hummus! (picture to follow)

*Sometimes all you want is milk and boy, you can drink about 32 oz a day if we let you. We're trying to cut you back. Your doctor said you can only have 18 ozs!

*You are off the doctor's charts for height, weight, and head circumference. By far, you are the biggest boy of the 3 of you. You and DJB are only 5 pounds apart. Soon, you'll be able to share clothes!

*Your big brothers take really good care of you. LOB is especially helpful with you. He gets you in and out of your crib, can make up a cup of milk, and change a diaper, not to mention rescue you from your dangerous shananigans!

* You are starting to throw little temper tantrums. When you don't get your way you cry and throw yourself to the ground on your hands and knees and pout! It's so funny!

*You bring us a clean diaper and say "pee pee"--I hear potty training a callin'!

I better stop with my notables. I've probably lost all my readers now! Oh well, at least I have something documented for DVB to come back to and read someday! Ya, right!

I'll leave you with a few pictures of his new toy. Or his new time occupier!

Right after I put it together it was lunch time. He refused to sit in his highchair. Instead, he took his plate from me and sat at the top of the slide for a little picnic!

Here's proof he loves hummus!

Maybe I'll have to bore you for a couple more days and dedicate a post to LOB and DJB. Ya know, since I haven't written in their books either!

Finally, 4th of July

Finally, I have some pictures to show you from the 4th of July weekend. It was a fun filled one of course. I'm going to narrate these photos in reverse of when they happened because I loaded them in backwards!

So in most recent news:

There was a BEAR spotted at the cabin! A black bear! I have conflicting reports of who, when, and where he was spotted. One reporter said he heard some rustling of the garbage can outside his window right after he went to bed and then went to investigate. Another reporter said he spotted the bear as he was walking back from the fire pit and he walked right by him and ran into the house. I'm really not sure who to believe. You can decide for yourself. Either way, no little boys should be roaming around at dark alone anymore or they might get eaten by a bear! A big black bear!

Here is some of the mess Mr. Bear made...I want to know if he unwound the garden hose too? He was probably thirsty after eating leftover spaghetti bake, taco casserole, night crawlers, and corn cobs!

Here is some evidence he left behind after his feast. Mmmm seeds and berries!

Here's another visitor. I forgot to inquire on it's species at the time of posting. Can't say I've ever seen a snake at the cabin either. What's the next critter to cross the property? A moose? An antelope? A big horn sheep?

DJB will find the darnedest things to play with. These are leftovers from the shed building project (pillar forms).

The only safe place to eat lunch is in the dog kennel unless of course you'd like to share your lunch with the dog!

Have you ever seen the movie Open Season? If you haven't seen it, this won't be funny to you. But we've seen it at least a million times and we think LOB looks like Elliott, the one horned deer!

You should have seen the dirt that was left behind in the tub after this washing! Those boys sure can get dirty in one day!

Here's another cleaning opportunity. This one is especially good for cleaning out fingernails and toenails! But instead of soap we use chlorine...

Here's DVB taking a little spin on a scooter.

Next you'll see what GOB and my dad did all weekend in between drinking just a couple beers:

Getting ready to pour concrete in the pillars. See the 2 mini laborers? They weren't very reliable workers in between taking playing breaks, hot tub breaks, lizard catching breaks, and dirt digging breaks. They may have been on break more than lending a helping hand!

I hear the shed now has fascia and shingles and I'm not too sure what else. I got a phone call today asking permission for the boys to help shingle. In retrospect, I could have said "Yes" if they felt like taking a trip to the ER. But I didn't think of that until I had already said it wasn't a good idea.
There's only one more post before Post #100. It's customary to write 100 things about yourself when you reach this landmark in the bloggy world. So I'm working on it now. You know, it's kinda hard to think of 100 things about yourself!

To Tide You Over...

I'm waiting to receive the pictures from the past weekend in my inbox. Would you believe I forgot my camera for our trip up North for the 4th of July? Sheesh! So if anyone up there is reading this, would you please email me some pics. I need some blog material.

Oh by the way, LOB and DJB stayed up north this weekend again. We're on Summerfest Part 2! Yahoo!

To tide you over, here's a couple pictures of "WM" as LOB calls him. "WM" stands for Wild Man!
Giving Toni a "teet" aka treat!
"Help, I'm stuck and I can't get out!"
A little afternoon snack...At least giving him a whole apple keeps him busy for a few minutes!
Now if this expression doesn't fit LOB's nickname for him, I don't know what does!
